This year I really want to go out and expand myself. Not to be so shy when out in public to take pictures. I always get a little paranoid that people are looking at me strangely as I take random pictures with my big DSLR. I always figured if they'd ask, I'd just tell them it was for a photo journalism class! I would also like to take pictures of my surrounds this year. I'm not talking about my home, but rather out around town with my family.
As of now I'm 5 for 5! Here's my pictures from the past five days. I started out my New Year with cleaning out my closet. This year is a year of organization for me and my family. We have a lot to go through, but I'd rather get started now, so come by the summer, I am ready for a great yard sale!
January 2nd was nice. The kids all had to go back to school, but James and I still had the day off! We didn't do too much, well, I cleaned out another closet and I think he ended up playing Xbox most of the day. We did take our daughter out to the bus stop for her to go to school. I love watching her get on the school bus. Such a big girl now!
Another thing I want to work with this year is different angles and new perspectives on things. So for this picture, I stuck my camera inside my refridgerator and had my son grab and apple out of the crisper drawer. I like how it turned out.
My youngest son is such a great kid. Very sweet, caring, helpful, friendly, and affectionate. He asks so many random questions... he really makes you think! James and I bought him a book of random questions for Christmas. I think he likes it!
Before I show you the last picture, let me remind you that not every day in our house is all sunshine and rainbows. We do have our bad days. Like for example, I didn't have the best day! I got to work and rolled over a framing nail and got a flat tire. The bright side was, I made it to work on time! My awesome husband came to change the tire after work and took the car to get the tire repaired. He's the best!
Anyway, onto more happier stuff...my daughter doesn't know how to read quite yet, but she's in the process of learning. In the meantime, she "reads" the pictures. I love when she does this. Her stories crack me up! She gets so animated with it. I really hope that she enjoys reading.
Thanks for stopping by! It's amazing going back through my blog to see how much my kids have grown. Seems like just yesterday, we were still in Kentucky.
