My scraproom!

I love having a room to call my own.  I felt bad when we moved into this house because we were living in a five bedroom house and when we moved from that house awhile ago, we moved into a four bedroom, which my boys ended up sharing a room so I could have my space.  This is where the magic happens.  I scrapbook, edit all of my pictures and just kind of hang out and let my room inspire me.  It's a Spring themed room with cherry blossoms and butterflies, making it fun to be in, during those dreary, rainy days.

Here's a little tour with some explainations.

In the cubbies there, that's where I keep my project life things.  I also have a bin of stamps from studio G as well as my CTMH.  I have a brown basket there on top where I keep my seasonal stamps.  Every holiday I will change the basket out.  I just put the Christmas stamps in there today.  I have a book of inspirational quotes on my little cubby shelf as well from a good friend of mine.  I also have artwork my youngest son made for me as well as flowers that I carried down the aisle of my best friend's wedding to the left there. (the lillies.)  I have a hanging lantern (the white thing next to the pink word smile) as well.

On the shelf above my cubby is where I keep things that mean a lot to me, that have been given to me over the years.  The horse is something my husband won for me at a fair and the flamingo is something I picked up on our cross country trip back home from Kentucky.  I also have pictures up there that are some of my favorites, as well as postcards from friends.  The mesh cups are nailed and hung to the shelf.  Something I saw in a magazine years ago.  I love the idea.

A different view of that corner.  In the white cubby on top of my table there in the corner is where I keep my children's awards and notes from school that I want to add to scrapbooks.  I have a tool box hanging up on the wall that my husband found for me two years ago that holds all of my embellishments.  I'd love to paint it some day, but I haven't had the time.  That's my black Canon printer also sitting on the table.

Here's where I work... I'd like to consider it relaxing.  I edit lots of pictures of football games, family pictures, pictures of my kids and so forth.  I spend a lot of time there, so I have a really nice computer chair that I actually got from the neighbor across the street.  Their house had been foreclosed and they left a lot of things behind in the house and the bank took everything out.

Here are my shelves that I have hanging up above my computer.  On the top shelf is a bird house from my mother, scissors that have been embossed from the fun WAORUT crop, an acrylic album I made, my son's puppet of Sam Adams, and an adorable butterfly tealight holder that I found at Michaels.
The bottom shelf is a vase that I got from a patient of mine at work, one of Amanda's pictures I won in a RAK, a film strip of my husband and I when we were dating, a picture of my husband on top of a hilside in southern California, a picture my son drew of him and I, a letter "H" for my name that I did and a sign my kids bought for me.  I also have old Scrabble tile letters added there.... I just love all my goodies up there.  It all means a lot to me.

Next to my computer is a tall shelf.  On the very top I have a tea set and some barbies I had from the 1980's. (my first barbies).  The second shelf that you can see here, is of my Angel ivory plant I've had now for two years and a bucket of scrapbooking goodies.  Down below that is my BIA and my photography books and magazines.  Below that is my baby Cricut and my cartridges and the last shelf holds my Cricut Expression.  On the floor between my Cricut Expression and the drawers is where my Cricut mats are.  In the drawers there, I keep my photography things in the top drawer, my mini albums in the second drawer and the last drawer has computer things in there like disks and manuals.  There are photography books sitting on top of that set of drawers there that are actually now inside the first drawer.

Here's where I do my scraping!  I made a cute banner to hang in my window on top back last Spring, and I have some My Little Pony's of my daughter's in my window.  She plays in my room when I work, so there's a few things of hers in here. The small box below my set of drawers is my scraps and hanging up is another lantern (the white thing) and a spice rack I found at a garage sale hangs on the wall that holds my mists, flowers, and other little scrapbooking trinkets.

These set of drawers is next to my table.  On top is where my pens/pencils are and other things I need and in the drawers is where I keep cardstock, ink, chipboard, and my big paper pads.

Here's my big daddy.... Just love this!  This K&Co shelf is something I found in Kentucky at a store that was going out of business.  It holds all of my ribbon and it holds a lot of my speciality paper.  The two cookie jars on top of the shelf below the ribbon hold scrap pieces of ribbon that are too short to hang and the white basket next to it is where I keep my stickles and a stamp pad cleaner.  The shelves next to it hold quite a bit.  The first three drawers are my stamps, below that are more stamps, punches, inks, paint pens, adhesive, embellishments, BIA material, and white/black cardstock.

Here's another view of those drawers that I just described and ALL of my printed out pictures in those boxes.  Each box is completely full except for the one next to the doll.  My daughter is scared of that doll because it cries and laughs so we keep it in my scraproom.

Thank you so much for allowing me to share my space with you!  I really do love hanging out in here.  I feel so inspired in here and it's the place to go if I need some quiet time from the rest of the household.  My kids and husband are pretty good about leaving me alone when I am up here, working.  Anyway, thank you again for stopping by!
