December Daily

Three years ago I was reading some blogs and came across Ali Edward's blog.  She was featuring her December Daily.  Basically it's a book that she puts together and records daily events for the month of December in celebration of the holidays.  It doesn't have to be all about Christmas, it can be about every day life, but something about the holiday season makes it a little more special to me.

This is my third year of putting together a December Daily.  Last year I had used a kit by Making Memories.  This is what my book looked like last year.

This year I decided to follow Ali Edwards right along, even by purchasing the same kit she is using this year.  Usually I just go with my own, but I really like the kit this year.  She got the kit from Studio Calico.  The album that came with the kit this year is a naked chipboard album.  I loved the way that Ali had stenciled in the number 25 to her album, so I did the same thing.  Only I stenciled it on, painted the letters white and my album red. (Ali's album is all white.)  I added Icicle Stickles to the number 25 to make them sparkle just a bit and I wrapped ribbon around my album, put the word "Merry" on it and added some holly and the year 2011.

I also downloaded Ali's templates of the dates from Designer Digitals and I printed them out.  I didn't decorate the inside the album pages too much, because I wanted to save some room for my pictures and journaling.  I did also take her idea of sticking in a chipboard calendar of the month on the inside of the cover and I also painted the word "merry" down the inside of the spine.

Here are a few other pages that I've put together.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  If you are working on a December Daily on your blog, please post your link.  I'd love to stop by and see your December Daily or any other project you are currently working on for that matter.  'Tis the Season!
