He cooks and bakes!

I'm a lucky, lucky wife.  I have a husband that cooks, cleans and bakes!  And he's GOOD!

Growing up, my mom and dad did everything for me.  I remember as a little kid, my dad would pick up my toys, (I eventually did it on my own) and my mom always did all of the baking/cooking.  In Jr. high I had to take a cooking class and one of the assignments was to cook for my family for a week straight.  I had no idea that I could burn spaghetti noodles.  My mom honestly thought there was no hope for me!  She thought for sure whoever I ended up marrying would starve to death or we would end up eating mac and cheese or TV dinners every night.  I mean... my mom DID try teaching me how to cook, but solely by only watching her.
I was very lucky and met a guy that loves to cook and bake, thanks to his mom.  He was raised with a single mom and two older brothers and she taught those boys everything from sewing clothes to changing tires.  How to seperate laundry, how to change the oil in a car.

My husband has been doing a lot of baking lately.  Here's some examples... these here are grilled Jalapino peppers he made for Superbowl Sunday...

These here are homemade strawberry oreo cake cookies for our co-workers for Valentine's Day...

And here's the Coach logo cake my husband made for his co-worker's birthday the other day.... yes, ALL homemade.  He even went so far as to find the Coach logo online, print it out and use it as a stencil... he used my purse as an example.

And tonight... from scratch, he made chicken and dumplings.

Don't even get me started on his Thanksgiving turkey..... WOW.....

Or his out of this world ham that he bakes with apples and pears with real sugar cane sticks to take away the salt and make the ham more sweet....

What can I say... this guy is awesome.  I truly love the talent he creates with all of his food.  If you ever want to stop by our house for dinner, I promise you, you will eat like a king/queen!
