It's Lego week!

It's Lego week, 365 style at our house.  The first prompt on Sunday was mini figures.  My oldest son and I spent a good two hours in his bedroom, digging through lego parts, trying to find as many figures as we could.  We came up with quite a haul!

It was great to get that time spent with him.  Being that he's almost a teenager, I know that hanging out with mom is usually the last thing that any kid wants to do.  We still had a good time though.  He enjoyed being apart of my project.

Monday was a little different.  It's about a brick or two.  Well, try thousands.  This can be a parent's worst nightmare.  If your kids have legos, you know exactly what I'm talking about.  It's dark in your kid's room and they have legos EVERYWHERE and walking through the obstacle course without stepping on any is really a harrowing experience!  Nothing like stepping on a lego piece at 6am in the morning when you are trying to hug your kids as you go to work in the morning.  Ouch!

Today (Tuesday's) prompt was The great outdoors.  Well, what about Lego dude, stepping outdoors to grab his mail?  After all, it's the first day of Spring, it looks like it might be a nice day to open up some windows and let a little sunlight in the house.  Then again, we DO live in Washington and Lego man does live with us... so being that it was the first day of Spring... we saw no sun.  However, I see that he has some lovely flowers growing on the side of his house.  Good for him.

Stay tuned for later in the week!  Tomorrow we have a portrait in plastic, in which my son is currently working on a picture frame out of legos.  Thursday, we have some with a smile and a wave and on Friday and Saturday we are going to go out of the box and multiply!

Thanks for dropping by and please.... watch your step!
