At the end of May, we went to Weiser, ID. to go camping with my brother-in-law, sister-in-law and their kids. We took our three kids as well and we all had a good time. Unfortunately this visit was cut a little short. Last time we were able to camp for three days, coming home on day four, but this time we decided to only camp for two, in hopes we'd see my nephew at the Sea-Tac airport, on his way out to Japan, where he's getting stationed at with the military. Unfortunately what we didn't know was that his flight didn't come in from Idaho until 10pm, not 10am, so coming home a day early really didn't matter. Regardless, we never went up to the airport because it was so late at night and we had to work the next day and I was actually happy anyway to come home a day early from the holiday, due to traffic and having to do like 100 loads of laundry. Not really, but I'm sure you know what I mean.
Anyway, while camping, we did some fishing along the Snake river. Didn't catch anything though. I even chased my sister-in-law up a steep hillside and had to practically rock climb half of the hill and slide most the way down. I'm not really sure why she wanted to suddenly climb to the top of the steep hill or why I even went after her, but I'm glad I did. I got to the top and turned around and looked. I did something I didn't think I was capable of. I climbed up 500 feet and didn't break a bone. Amazing.
On Saturday their family was invited to dinner at a pig farm in town. We were invited as well since we were my brother-in-law's guests. I was a little hesitant to eat dinner at a pig farm considering the pork I eat is usually dead and at the grocery store. I was a bit surprised when I realized pork wasn't even on the menu at the pig farm. We had brisket instead. I did go in the back to look and take pictures of the pigs. Sad to know that they are going to end up on someone's plates in the near future. Mmmm, bacon.
On the way back up to the campground, my brother-in-law pulls over and everyone gets out of his vehicle and my husband pulls over too and we get out as well. My brother-in-law opens up the back of his SUV and pulls out a bunch of guns and rifles. I was a little surprised by this, but knowing them, this is the kind of stuff they do in Weiser, Idaho. I have personally never fired a weapon before, so to me this was really kind of scary. However, my brother-in-law had me step up to the plate and he guided me step by step on how to fire a gun properly. I was scared, but I did it. Awesome.
We headed back to the campsite, packed up that night what we could before the long drive home in the morning. My husband had great time with his brother and the kids had fun playing with their cousins.

Sounds like everyone had fun. We haven't been camping for awhile. Thinking about doing it sometime soon hopefully.
