I would love to sit here and tell you that I have been scraping like a mad woman all day today. Unfortunately I have been doing laundry, I cleaned my daughter's bedroom and our bedroom. I've done the dishes and put clothes away. I am now considering a nap. However, no time for naps here, because tomorrow we are taking the kids to see the Avengers and my husband wants to catch the boys up to speed on their superheros. Last night we sat down and watched Iron Man for the first time. I really liked that movie.
I'm sure I'll get some scrapping in sometime today. I mean... I do have the rest of the evening, right? Especially since I will be staying up late tonight, patiently waiting for the Super Moon to rise tonight.
Since it is NSD, I will share with you five layouts I did last weekend. Five... that's a good number. Hmm, today is even May 5th. Cinco de Mayo. Yeah... I like the number five.
So, here we go. These are the two layouts I did of my boys in football. These pictures were from last year. Boy, that was a long season. I would like to think the boys had a great time playing. I thought they looked absolutely adorable in their padded gear and helmets. lol Love them.
These layouts were completed with Echo Park. I find that Echo Park is something I am constantly going to if I have it laying around. Rarely do I have any EP paper left! It's really my style and just fits me completely. I love how I used their patterned paper and cut out the word "defense" as my title. Especially since my boys were on defense.
This next layout is kind of near and dear to my heart. It's of my daughter's complishment of doing something she was scared to. Last year at the park behind our house, they put in a new play ground. She was too scared to go down the curly slide. After days of playing there, she finally got the courage to get down the slide. Of course I had to capture that on camera. I love how proud she is of herself.
Now we can't leave out something else that's close to my heart. And that would be my crazy german shepherd. I love him. We got him while living in Kentucky. My husband has never been fond of him because my husband actually told me no when I said I wanted to take him home, but that didn't stop me. He's a good boy, who LOVES his tennis balls.
As I was scrapping, I came across an old picture of my oldest son. He was two years old at the time and I remember taking him to the Picture People to get his pictures. The photographer was very lazy, didn't really do anything with my son to get him to smile, just had him kind of sit there and was hoping I would do the rest of the work. Well, my son wanted nothing to do with pictures, so I spent the entire time trying to coax him to get the pictures taken. After what seemed like forever, we got him to smile ONCE, (this picture) and I snatched him up and said "that's it!" I remember feeling very frustrated and annoyed. I was angry at the photographer for not doing her job to her ability and I was upset that my son wanted nothing to do with getting his pictures taken. But hey... we got this picture and I think this title is very spot on! lol
Anyway, thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you are having a great 5th of May!
