Well, even though we might have not done much this summer, I still feel like the kids had a great time. We were able to do a couple of things and we made the most of it. I'm happy that my boys did have football to keep them busy this summer because it kept them off of the video games and kept them active. That's always a bonus. :)
We did make it to the zoo this summer. That's one of my favorite places to go, especially if the animals are out and are active. We decided to actually buy a zoo membership this time because we tend to go a few times a year and for all of us to get in once was the cost of a zoo membership. So... that only made sense. We took one of the kids' friend's with us and we even rode on the camels. So fun!
During the 4th of July weekend, we had made our way to Pacific beach with our friends to spend the long weekend, camping, and ended it with a fireworks display at my parents house.
I know that we still have almost a month left of summer, so I am sure we will be able to squeeze in a few more days of fun. What I'm looking forward to most of all, is Fall. We tend to do a lot more activities during September, October. We usually go to a Seahawks game, head up the Apple Cider Mill, the pumpkin patch, and go on an annual photo trip along one of the rivers to take pictures of the Fall follage. Anyway, enjoy the rest of your summer!
