I don't know about you, but I love the Fall. I love the crisp air with the sunshine, bonfires, hoodies, the leaves changing, picking apples, warm socks, flannel, blankets and snuggling. It's a great time to sip on some apple cider and make apple pie. I'm looking forward to doing some of these things here in the next few upcoming weeks.
Just recently my husband made some Squash soup. I don't mean to tease you, but I honestly don't know the recipe for it. I did however, take some pictures of him and the process of him putting it together.
Doesn't that look amazing? He made two big pots of it so he could can some of it and give it away to our friends and family. I personally am not a fan of squash, but I like the smell of it in my house. It's another thing that reminds me that Fall is here.
Just last weekend I had made an apple pie. I use golden delicious apples for my pie. They are wonderful to use. I don't use anything else. Once the apple pie was put together and baked, it didn't last long in my house. Neither did the chocolate chip cookies I made the other night. lol
Of course it wouldn't be Fall without our football season! My husband is a Seahawks fan. He also coaches for our local football team here. The boys play on the team and have such a great time with it. Here are some of the pictures from our season this year.
I'm proud of the work these boys put into the game of football. They are very dedicated and hard working. They make every practice and give it their all in every game. We love our kids!
Pretty soon our leaves on our tree will fall and my kids will be able to make big leaf piles and play in them like they did last year.
Next weekend we will be hitting up the cider mill and the pumpkin patch! Yay for Fall!
