Updates are so fun!

Here we are in the middle of summer. I hope everyone is having a great summer and enjoying the sun and fun times with family and friends! Our weather here in Washington state has finally turned nice. We had rain for the most of June so our summer really didn't start until after the 4th of July.

So what's new? Well, I will tell you! My husband is medically retiring from the military and he's decided to go to the Art Institute of Seattle where he will be doing Culunary Art. He's such a great cook as it is, so this is something he's super excited about because it will enhance what he already does now. I too am going to school, but I have chosen to do my studies online at the Art Institute where I am going for my Bachelors in Photography. Photography has always been my passion, so this is something I'm extremely excited about. I will be still working full time at my day job, so this will be an added extra for me.

I've had a lot of blessing come my way lately. I've been asked to do quite a few photography shoots which have all ended in a huge success. I've been referred to their friends and even my co-workers have been referring me. I was just asked to do a graduation for our resident doctors at work and I will also be photographing the Western Regional Medical Command Birthday Ball here in Tacoma in a week. I'm very excited about that. Not only have I been blessed with the ability to take pictures, but I also sold my very first print (that wasn't involved in a photoshoot) today. This is the picture that I sold.

Originally, I had given this 11x14 picture as a gift to a friend's mother, but she showed one of her friends and her friend wants to buy the picture as well. I feel so honored and very excited to be able to share my work and have people want my work. It's such a great feeling deep inside me and it just makes me smile so much!! :)

Anyway, I am still continuing on with Project Life, the 365 picture a day project. This is something that I did last year and this is something that I think I will plan on doing every year. It's now such a big part of my life, I can't imagine not doing it anymore next year. We all enjoy looking back on the pictures. The good, the bad and the ugly. lol

Thanks so much for stopping by and reading what I have to say. I hope you are enjoying yourself and soaking in all the sun you can. Take care!
